I’m but a star child.
Born out of the emptiness
Beyond time and space
The Haiku Flow is where I express my thoughts and feeling using the Japanese form Haiku. In its most basic form, the haiku consists of three stanzas where the first and three stanzas usually contain five syllables with the second stanza containing seven syllables. Traditionally, the haiku has a seasonal theme - even if the haikus I write rarely follow this theme and can be said to be unconventional in this respect.
I’m but a star child.
Born out of the emptiness
Beyond time and space
1
The star of David.,
The light of my dead brother
Whom I never knew.
2
It shines still today
During my darkest hours
Bringing back a hope.
3
Not to be afraid
To question what people say,
For life is vanity.
4
Life comes and it goes,
Our bodies deteriorate
And our minds do too.
5
David, where are you?
You died before I could know
What death really meant.
6
I never forgot
You were one day here with us.
But I never knew.
7
I still search for you
In my own ways I still seek you
My unknown brother.
8
Yes, I was too young.
To remember who you were..
Or get to know you
9
Your are the reason
I never stopped asking "Why?".
You're my guiding star.
I sought perfection.
To find nothingness and death
Barren, perfect peace.
Just a day of rest
I hoped for but never got.
Perhaps tomorrow?
I do lose myself
In a nature beyond me
Finding compassion
No light without dark
There’s no hope without despair
No life without death
Hopes and dreams may die,
Now, a tree may yield no fruit.
Living on thru death.
Like our hopes and dreams,
A dying wish can give life,
To other beings.
And fresh hopes and dreams,
May grow from dwindling visions,
First we must let go.
Stars light up the night
A boy stares above in awe
Are we all alone?
