Sacred Nature*

1

We are born to die,

Nothing with out each other.

Without nature, dead.

2

We erected temples,

Worshipped the gods of creation.

We looked to the stars.

3

We believed in magic.

Each season, life and death,

Inevitable, precious.

4

Powerless we felt,

This indomitable nature.

Beyond our control.

5

We prayed in the hope.

In the hope it would listen.

But we never knew.

6

We knelt and murdered,

In the name of unknown gods.

Violating nature.

7

We have progressed. Yes.

Enlightened with the ages.

Magic exorcised.

8

Yet, little has changed.

We are born to die, again.

We need each other.

9

Is their life beyond?

Yes or no make no difference.

It's this life I have.

10

we destroy ourselves,

Each time we forget our roots.

Our sacred nature.
